Women of Distinction 2021
Thank you to everyone who joined us on March 8th to celebrate remarkable women in our communities making positive change! It was inspiring to hear from our Honourees and celebrate International Women's Day with amazing women.
This year's Honourees:
Cyndy Moffat Forsyth - Inaugural Director for the Integrated Youth Services Network in Guelph and Wellington County, advocating for youth mental health and the implementation of services and programs to proactively serve youth in our community.
KWEEN - leader of Guelph BLM Protest and the Executive Director and Community Engagement Coordinator for Guelph Black Heritage Society, advocating for our BIPOC community and the rights of African and Caribbean people.
Charlotte A.B. Yates - President of the University of Guelph, known for her research and expertise in the automotive industry, labour issues and public policy.
Dr. Anne-Marie Zajdlik - family physician and regional HIV Specialist, founder of Bracelet of Hope, sharing factual pandemic information through social media backed with science and experience.
One to Watch:Genevieve Sutherns - co-founder of the Guelph Box at only 18 years old, donating 5% of proceeds to local charities.
