Due to the nature of the game of squash, injuries can occur. There are a few simple rules to follow to minimize the likelihood of incurring avoidable injuries.
- Always wear googles! Wearing goggles can save you a trip to the hospital, and avoid lengthy recovery periods. These are available in most sport stores. Goggles are mandatory for all kids under the age of 18.
- CLEAR after hitting your shot, allowing your opponent an open path to the ball.
- Call a LET before swinging your racquet when there is interference. A LET ball is called when a player is obstructed when going for the ball, and the point is then started over. Always play on the side of CAUTION.
- For full rules on LET, NO LET and STROKE, go to www.squash.ca/en/rules-game . Rules are also posted on the bulletin board by the squash courts.
- Be CORTEOUS on court!
