Book Your Complimentary Personal Training Session 

When you sign up for a YMCA membership, a free session with one of our certified personal trainers is included. During your session, they’ll show you around the fitness centre and answer any questions you may have. The personal trainer will put together a plan to help you gain the confidence and competence to reach your health and fitness goals.

Fitness Centre Support Hours

During Fitness Centre Support hours, a certified Personal Trainer is readily available in the Fitness Centre to provide answers to your questions and demonstrate the safe and effective use of equipment. 

Registration is not required — drop in anytime during the scheduled hours.

One-on-one Personal Training

Through one-on-one sessions, your certified personal trainer will work with you to develop a program tailored to you, while providing support and motivation to help you achieve your health and fitness goals. Your trainer will build a schedule and routine based on your needs and you will receive expert guidance, no matter what your fitness level is.

Facts about Personal Training from our member survey conducted in 2023: 

 

  • Personal Training clients experience higher levels of connection (Score of 76 out of 100), when compared to our regular membership (Score of 70 out of 100).

  • Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a measurement of how likely you are to recommend a product or service to a friend or family. Our Personal Training clients have a NPS of 57, which is 23 points higher than our overall membership, which has a NPS of 34. 

Personal Training Session Pricing

Pricing for our one-on-one Personal Training sessions are as follows: 

 

  • $55 + tax per session for Complete Members 

  • $60 + tax per session for Classic Members 

  • $75 + tax per session for Non-Members 

 

Sessions can be purchased in bundles of 2, 4, 8, or 12. Each session is one hour in length.  

Partner Training

Since the pandemic, we have discovered that a lot of people prefer to work out with a partner. At the YMCA of Three Rivers, we’re excited to be able to offer a unique opportunity for Partner Training.

 

In Partner Training, you and your partner will work together with a certified personal trainer to design a program specifically to help reach your collective goals. You can also share the cost of the sessions, which makes Partner Training an accessible way to feel the benefits of working with a personal trainer. 

The cost for Partner Training is $75 + tax per session ($37.50 + tax per person).

Small Group Personal Training

Led by a certified personal trainer, small group training sessions are a great option for those looking for a tailored workout program suited to their needs at a lower price point than one-on-one personal training. You’ll work out in a small group of six to eight like-minded individuals pursuing similar health and wellness goals.

Specialized Group Training

These large group sessions led by YMCA staff and volunteers are developed to help build community connections while pursuing your health and wellness goals. Working together allows participants to share knowledge and increases motivation and accountability. Sessions vary seasonally and depending on community need.

Team Training

The YMCA provides dryland training for sports teams. Work with a certified personal trainer to improve overall individual and team fitness, strength, power and performance.
