All our staff here at the YMCA-YWCA of Guelph have been trained to National YMCA Standards. Upon joining our YMCA, our fitness staff can provide you with:

Also offered within Individual Training is the option of personal training. Our personal training team consists of a diverse group of educated, skilled, and professionally certified trainers. Our comprehensive and individualized personal training programs delivered by our trainers are able to meet a variety of goals including weight loss, strength training, flexibility/mobility, sport specific training, and general physical fitness. Benefits of personal training include:
- Creating S.M.A.R.T goals (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timely)
- Proper supervision leading to increased exercise safety and efficiency

13 & 14 year old members must have completed the 13/14 year orientation prior to using the Fitness Centre.
Many of our certified team members are volunteers.Members have the opportunity to become a National Certified Member Volunteer Fitness Instructor through a respected leadership and training program.

Q: How long will my appointment be?
A: Appointments are typically 45 minutes to 1 hour in length.
Q: What should I wear to my appointment?
A: Comfortable athletic clothing such as non-marking indoor athletic shoes, pants, leggings or shorts (minimum inseam of 3”) and t-shirt. We ask that you do not wear clothing with inappropriate slogans or offensive comments or skimpy clothing such as bra-tops.
