Open Swim
Open swim is available for all members. Open swim will allow for all members to use our aquatic facility. Any member can come and use our pool and enjoy our slide. Members 10 years or older may attend by themselves. Children 6-10 years who are non-swimmers and all children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult in the water. Must follow Guelph Y Admission Policy
Preschool Swim
Preschool swim is for members under six years of age. Preschool swim is an open swim that allows you to freely play in our warm pool. With access to water toys and PFD’s you can spend quality time with your child while enjoying the properties of water. Children must be accompanied by an adult (two children per adult). The adult is not required to be a member or purchase a day/guest pass.
Additional adults must purchase a day pass. Additional adults must purchase a day pass. Please make sure that all children who are not toilet trained have a swim diaper on when in the pool. Must follow Guelph Y Admission Policy
Policies
All Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper.
At any time a member may be required to complete a deep end test, to participate in the deep-end (members under 6 must still be accompanied by an adult who is within arms reach).
To use the slide participants must be at least 6 years of age and 4 feet tall. Participants cannot go down the slide wearing a lifejacket and must be able to go down the slide solo.
By Provincial guidelines, all children under 6 years and non-swimmers under 10 years must have a parents or guardian (16 years or older) in the water within arm’s reach, to a maximum of 2 children (0r 4 if all children are wearing lifejackets), per parent/guardian.
*A child 6 to 9 years of age may use the pool independently after passing the YMCA Canada swim test (which can be administered at any time).
