Squash
The Guelph Y has 2 International Squash Courts. Members are welcome to book a court time (40 minute intervals) at the Member Services Desk. Racquets and balls are avalible for purchase (or you can bring your own) and goggles are available at our member service desk. It is mandatory that junior players wear goggles.
Signing out a Court
Members are asked to sign out court times in person, no more than 24 hours in advance.
A Pre-booking package can be purchased for an additional fee for those full paying members who wish to have further access. Members with Pre-booking privileges may book a court time by phone or in person up to 7 days in advance. Please speak to a member service staff for more details on fees and policy by calling 519-824-5150 or dropping by the front desk today!
Ladders, Leagues and Tournaments
The YMCA - YWCA OF GUELPH offers a squash ladder for all levels of play from beginners to advanced players. Pre-booking is required. In addition there is a traveling team that plays other squash clubs in South West Ontario and there is a season ending squash tournament every year to determine the best at all levels. Instructional Lessons
The YMCA - YWCA OF GUELPH offers members an opportunity to learn more about the game of squash. Offered by appointment only, this service is Free of Charge. Lessons can be booked by signing in at the front desk in the squash book. You will then be called to book an appointment. Squash lessons are provided by David Huson, fully certified by Squash Canada at Level 2 with a Technical Certification at Level 3.
