- Make a plan to act! Decide what goals are important to you and will make a real difference in your life. This could be losing weight, exercising more, eating more fruits & vegetables, quitting smoking or being more connected to you children and family.
- Research – Get the Facts! Get the information that you will need in order to be successful. Check out the rest of this site or other sites on the internet; talk to other people who have had success with similar goals.
- Get Motivated! Review the pros and cons of acting or not doing anything in regards to tackling your goal. This provides your motivation.
- Get Ready and Make a Plan! Make a plan of what you need to do or get in order to start working on your goal. For example, Will you do more walking? Where will you walk? Do you have the right shoes? Have you found a walking buddy?
- You’re almost there! Now you’re ready to commit to action! And don’t forget about your cheerleading team!
